week 4: BOC National Geographic

US magazine published each month by the National Geographic Society. It is famous for its beautiful photographs and maps as well as its articles about different countries, societies and animals. US readers must join the Society in order to receive the magazine, but in Britain it can be bought in shops. The Society also publishes books and other magazines, and has its own television channel.  National Geographic is produced by the National Geographic Society and has photographs, maps, and interesting articles about nature, wild animals, and people from different cultures all over the world. My photo was inspired by war and whats going on over in iraq now. I love the feeling and colors of my picture. National geographic has inspired me to think of something a li different to be able to pull this shot off. It was also extremely hard because i also shot this photo myself using a tri-pod and timer. It was a really dfficult talsk but i managed to finish. I feel i did really well. I call this shot "SEE NO EVIL".

week 2 BOC: Papparazzi

Papparazzi is a freelance photographer who specializes in candid camera shots of famous people and often invades their privacy to obtain such photographs. Most of them make great money a year.  Mostly pretty good–$60,000, maybe $100,000 a year. The top guys can make $250,000.” These pictures were taken by me just running up to my friends snapping pictures without them knowing nor having their consent. Walking up to the doors of a hookah lounge called 3 kings in sw Las Vegas. It was a very exciting experience but it was also hard meeting the challenge bc they are not really celebs. I had fun doing this and experiencing a different form of photography on different locations and different situation. It isnt the type of photography that i would like to do in the future, but if i was getting paid great money i wouldnt mind... I used a canon 5D for these pictures my fav is both i love my style of photography and cant wait to do more like this. Boring but fun at the same time if that makes any since...

week 1 BOC Constructed self portrait

A good portrait reveals something about its subject beyond the immediate appearance of the photograph. It includes layers of meaning and depth that portray the person as a whole, not just the superficial initial impression. Great gives us an idea of who the person is, beyond what they are trying to depict. Portraits done in black and white add an additional layer of complexity to their subject. The choice to appear void of color says something about the person, though what it says varies greatly between people. “When you photograph people in color, you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in Black and white, you photograph their souls!” There is an old quote that says, “If you want to shoot fashion, shoot in color, but if you want to shoot emotion, shoot in black and white.” Given the chance, when looking at two portraits side by side, nine times out of ten, the black and white portrait will catch my eye more than the color photograph. Self-portraiture in photography and the corresponding concern with one’s image is an old obsession of the few that has become the mainstream norm of the digital and Internet savvy masses. There are self-portraits dating back to the nineteenth century, produced soon after the invention of photography, when it was at the disposal of very few. I love self portraits because i have full control over want i want and what im looking for in a picture

Week 1 EOC Stallions Not Unicorns

Realistic Job:  Fashion Photography for Urban Ink or Source Magazines. Whats really appealing to me about these jobs is that Urban Ink has gathered a host of interesting, tatted individuals from Hip-Hop heavyweights, to professional skateboarders, a collection of insanely talented ink slingers, a member of the LAPD who dubs as a semi-pro boxer, beautiful inked-up vixens, and even a beauty pageant queen. Beside photography school i am also training in a apprentiship to be able to obtain my tattoo license. I feel this job is realy realistic because i often go take picture at tattoo conventions and actually know Corey Davis out of Columbus, Oh which is the head founder and tattoo artist of urban ink magazines. I feel like it would be a great opportunity for me and also i fit well into the urban tattoo industry.

week1 EOC: My voice

Digital photography has been my passion for quite some time. Every since I was old enough to use a simple polaroid camera I knew Id love to take pictures for the rest of my life. All my life I’ve really been fascinated in fashion and loved looking through fashion magazines and also traveling and seeing all types of landscapes and different architectural designs. I would love to travel the world and show my true talent at its highest potential. Thinking of this everyday and night working hard on every photography obstacle is my motivation to succeed in fulfilling my dream. In all my shots I look to catch the best photos by being motivated to be the best photographer there is possible.
